Reedの日記８　Golf !

Hello!
I don’t have any pictures from work today, so I’ll try to make everything brief and straightforward.

It’s Thursday, August 28th today. That means we’re getting close to harvest time for kaki, and that we also have some new work to do. The first thing I did today was try ing to water the kiwi trees that we’re growing. The lack of rain has started to affect their health, so Kogura-san and I went out to water them first thing in the morning.

When we took a break after the kiwis were watered, I made a Facetime call to my parents and introduced them to Kogura-san! He introduced himself to my parents in English, in spite of the fact that I’d called them without really warning him.

In the present, it just started to rain a little. After we watered the kiwis, we spent about an hour getting ready for this exact situation. What do I mean?

We have been putting some of our kaki fruits in bags with some alcohol to sweeten them, but it could be bad if some rainwater were to get caught in those bags. As a result, we ended up needing to quickly cut the bottoms out of the bags. It was pretty tough for me at first, but Kogura-san taught me how to cut the bags effectively.

With that task finished up, I went back to the office to do some final bag-making while Kogura and Shiromoto-chan went to the kiwi farm again. I’m a little faster than the first time I tried this, but not as quick as those two!

Finally, here’s a bonus. We tried playing golf with the ethanol cubes that fell out of the bags around the farm. Check it out!
